CHILD & FAMILY THERAPY
Dr. Alduan Tartt: Common Mistakes Stepdads Make & How To Avoid Them
CHILD/ADOLESCENT & FAMILY THERAPY
I have been working with children and adolescents for over fifteen years and thoroughly enjoy what I do! I work with children of all ages but tend to specialize in children who are seven years old and above. There are circumstances where I will work with younger children but this is discussed on a case by case basis. I work with not only the child/adolescent but the entire family and the various systems they may be associated with (schools, teams, hospital, primary care physician, government agencies, etc.). I am heavily child/teen focused and will allow them to express their feelings first before getting parental feedback to encourage communication of feelings. I connect with kids/teens very easily and enjoy respecting parents' beliefs, culture and parenting styles.

I tend to work from a positive psychology perspective and, therefore, focus on your children's strengths before challenges are discussed. I specialize in brief therapy models that are solution-focused so that results can be gained sooner rather than later. I work with a variety of issues but some of the most common are:
