Dr. Alduan Tartt is a practicing clinical psychologist, proud Christian, motivational speaker, media personality, consultant, author and family man devoted to healing relationships, parents and youth in both the private office setting and within the church. Dr. Tartt loves to entertain while he teaches to ensure maximum impact, fun and audience engagement. He fuses ministry and psychology in the spirit of Dr. Norman Vincent Peale to serve people all over the world.
Dr. Tartt is a graduate of Morehouse College and is the youngest African-American to receive his PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Michigan. He is a recipient of the NAACP award for a lifetime of work in empowering clients and the communities they live in. “In life, there are talkers and doers, so what I do is heal and tell people about it so they can heal themselves and their loved ones.” Thus, Dr. Tartt treats clients personally and speaks across the world on how to use psychology to heal.
Dr. Tartt is a frequent psychology expert for CNN, HLN, Intelligence For Your Life and previously co-hosted his own show, Love Addiction, on TV One which healed toxic relationships. He has appeared as a psychology expert on ABC Nightline, MTV’s Made, TV Ones’ Black Men Revealed, BET’s 106 & Park, & Gospel Touch and currently is the radio host of Heart 2 Heart With Dr. Tartt on WCLK (91.9 Jazz In The City) which is a live call in show that focuses on improving relationships and is funded by Verizon Wireless. Dr. Tartt also serves as the go-to psychology expert on the Rickey Smiley, Tom Joyner, Love & Relationships, and Café Mocha syndicated radio shows. He has also written articles for Black Enterprise, Essence, Upscale Magazine & Sister 2 Sister magazines.
Dr. Tartt is author of The Ring Formula: How To Be The Only One He Ever Needs and is a contributing author for Saving Our Daughters (Volumes 1 &3) which focuses on relationship strategies for getting married and teen girl empowerment and bullying prevention, respectively. He has served on the Board of Directors for the 100 Black Men of DeKalb, Girl In The Glass, Forever Family & The Gifted Education Foundation. Dr. Tartt presently serves as a consultant for the NBA on player development, relationship and family management issues.
Dr.Tartt is the go to doctor for churches and organizations who wish to bring in a psychologist to provide strategies and advice with a touch of humor to improve marriages, parenting, blended family issues, relationships and dealing with emotional pain. He is blessed to have an amazingly beautiful wife and daughter and serves as a mentor to hundreds of youth annually in Atlanta, GA. He is also in divinity school for his ministry degree through a partnership with Word of Faith Family Cathedral and Antioch University.
